Putrajaya – According to Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin, there will be a new national housing policy will be unveiled in December 2018.

The purpose is to facilitate home ownership in Malaysia.

YB Zuraida Kamaruddin says that “When there is cost savings, price of home will reduce and will make it affordable.”

With the new government, there will be changes in policies, financial arrangements and legislations.

YB Zuraida mentioned that the ministry has also held discussions with various agencies. The plan is that 1Malaysia People’s Housing Project (PR1MA), PPA1M, schemes by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB) and the Federal Territory Affordable Homes (Rumawip) which are managed by different agencies will all be consolidated under her ministry by August.
